The Lady Falcons got a two-run double from Bailey, who scored on an error, to jump ahead 3-0 in the bottom of the first inning. The Lady Wildcats tied it up on their next trip to the plate, scoring three runs on five hits: singles by freshmen Kaylee Holt and Betty Goodman, junior Niki Kruger's double, and singles from senior Rachel Gonzalez and junior Hannah Doherty.
After Fayette scored another unearned run in the third, the Purple again caught up when Gonzalez singled and was brought in by freshman Danielle Allen's double in the fifth.
The game remained knotted up after that, both teams stranding 12 runners on base during the contest and Slater having 22 batters fanned by senior Samantha Jacobson.
The Lady Falcons (4-10, 1-4 L&C) got their lead-off batter in scoring position on an error in the 12th, with Bailey drilling a base hit to center field for the walk-off victory.
Kruger, Gonzalez, Allen and Holt each had three hits for the Lady Wildcats (6-9, 0-5) who were seeking their third win in a row. After dropping the first two games at the Lone Jack Tournament on Saturday -- to Pleasant Hill (12-4) and the host Lady Mules (9-1) -- Slater took seventh place with an 11-3 win over Kingsville and followed that up Monday by dumping Keytesville, 12-2.
The Lady 'Cats will be on the road Thursday to take on Brunswick.
