Frances E. Sheffer, 92, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008 at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Born Nov. 23, 1915, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late George W. Ballew and Ida May Rowland Ballew. On Sept. 19, 1931, she married Lee Allen Sheffer Sr., who preceded her in death on March 2, 2005. She had lived in Marshall her entire life, was a homemaker and a Christian.
Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Riley and husband, James, of Marshall; two sons, James Sheffer and wife, Judy, and Lee Allen Sheffer Jr. and wife, Linda, all of Marshall; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Earl J. Ballew of Fulton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward A. Sheffer and Robert L. Sheffer, three brothers and three sisters.
