Brian Dean Sidwell, 58, of rural Marshall, died Saturday, September 27, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at Smithon United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Veale officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Blue Lick Cemetery south of Marshall. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Blue Lick Cemetery, Smithton United Methodist Church or Family Choice. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born May 27, 1950, in Sedalia, he was the son of the late Isaac Denton Sidwell and Maurine C. Dickerson Sidwell. On Feb. 10, 1989, he married Charlotte M. Davis Peetoom who survives of the home. He had lived in Pettis and Saline counties his entire life and was a 1968 graduate of Marshall High School and attended Central Missouri State College and State Fair Community College. He was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Smithton United Methodist Church the last several years where he participated in United Methodist Men. He had been an electrician with Union Local 257 since 2003, ConAgra and Wilson's as well as other local businesses in Sedalia and Marshall. He had also worked at the Marshall Habilitation Center.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Catherine Burgess of Marshall and Rachel Sidwell of Fulton; one son, Daniel Sidwell and wife Heidi of Boonville; four grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Adcock of Sedalia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
