Sweet Springs man hurt in 1-vehicle accident early Sept. 25

A Sweet Springs man received moderate injuries and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital as a result of an accident on Thursday morning, Sept. 25, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at around 5:40 a.m. on Route EE north of County Road 314 when Shannon L. Rader, 25, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned after striking a culvert, according to the report by Sgt. Woody Hicks.

The collision resulted in total damage to Rader's vehicle, according to the report.

Rader was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving as well as driving without insurance. Though the report lists that he was not wearing his seatbelt, that was not among the charges.
