Ruby Pauline Harris, 84, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at Liberty Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Flack Memorial Christian Church in Excelsior Springs. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Slater City Cemetery in Slater. Donations may be made to the Senior Center of Excelsior Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1925, in Protem, the daughter of the late Wilford and Mary Alice Persinger Clarkson. She attended college and worked as a secretary. She married James Harold Harris Oct. 3, 1946, in Forsyth. She was a member of Flack Memorial Christian Church, Ray-Clay Ham Radio Club and taught ceramics.
She is survived by four sisters, Marie Prado and her husband, Joe, Wilma McCoy and her husband, Charles, Virginia Hemeyer and her husband, Harold, and Carolyn Wakeley and her husband, Matt; one brother, James Clarkson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, two nephews and three nieces.
