At about 4:45 p.m., Richard L. Graham, 35, of Slater, lost control of the 1996 Plymouth Neon he was driving eastbound on I-70 near Missouri Highway 23, on the wet roadway, left the right side of the road and struck an embankment, according to the MSHP report.
Although damage to the vehicle was extensive, Graham escaped with moderate injuries, troopers said.
He was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident. No tickets were issued, according to the report.
Less than two hours later, Jacob C. Johnson, 24, of Rolla, also eastbound on I-70, sustained minor injuries when he lost control of his 2001 Dodge east of County Road 215 in Saline County.
The car left the roadway and struck a guard cable; the car sustained minor damage.
Johnston refused treatment at the scene, according to troopers.
He was cited for careless and imprudent driving and no seatbelt, according to the patrol report.
