Dellarese Price, 93, of Marshall, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Mike Paris officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Born Aug. 20, 1915, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hayes and Gypsie Ivy Page Hayes. On May 23, 1942, she married Eugene "Gene" Price, who preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1978. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and she and her husband owned and operated Price Electric & Plumbing. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Priscilla Sunday School Class and Marshall Chapter 408 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Ruff and her husband, Jim, of Marshall; one son, Larry Price and his wife, Kristie, of Marshall; four grandchildren, Lori Godsey and her husband, Larry, Lisa Ruff, Jason Price and his wife, Lori, and Lorin Price; four great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Kameron and Regan Godsey and Carson Price; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Lee Hayes, and three sisters, Mary Chambers, Pauline Stober and Hazel Garrison.
