In May, four BYS residents were among the high school graduating class of Marshall public schools, according to a news release from BYS.
Two of the young people are beginning college at Missouri Valley.
Since some donors to Butterfield designated their contributions be used for educational purposes, BYS is working with the college to make the funds available for tuition and other expenses for those students, according to Barb Mayfield, executive director of BYS.
Mayfield said the board and staff of Butterfield are proud of the four graduates.
"All of us at Butterfield Youth Services are proud to know these four young people," she said. "We feel honored to have had a part in their lives. All of our Board members and staff are especially delighted that past contributors have made it possible for the organization to provide some tuition relief for the students as they begin this next chapter of their lives attending Missouri Valley."
