Shirley Jean (Vaughn) Triebsch, 72, of Boonville, passed away at Boone Hospital Center on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Visitation will be held at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, with Frs. Jerry Kaimann and Bob Duesdieker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A rosary will be prayed before the mass at 10:40 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the National Kidney Foundation, or SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She was born on July 22, 1936, in Wooldridge, the daughter of Lon Curtis Vaughn and Audrey Lucille (Croswhite) Vaughn. She was married to William Carl Triebsch on Dec. 29, 1956, in Martinsville. She was an active member of SS Peter & Paul Church, participating in almost every activity the church undertook. She worked for several years as a senior branch office administrator with the Edward Jones Company in Boonville. She was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband and being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the home; her son, Kevin and his wife, Chris, their children, Ethan and Stella of Marietta, Ga.; Gregg and his wife, Mary, their son, Colin of Pilot Grove; her daughter, Dee Ann and her son, Zachary Pruitte of Albuquerque, N.M., and daughter, Michele Pruitte of Columbia. Her sister Patricia A. Meyer and her husband, Bob, of Harrisonville also survive. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn N. Vaughn, Clifford S. Vaughn and Lon C. Vaughn, and one sister, Flava Dee Vaughn.
