Fred Meuschke, 53, of Overland Park, Kan., formerly of Marshall, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at his home.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at Mount Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64131. Visitation will be from noon until time of the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery south in Kansas City. Memorials may be made to Butterfield Youth Services.
Born July 31, 1955, in Marshall, he was the son of the late George J. Meuschke and Shirley Jean Windmeier Meuschke, who survives of Marshall. In 1980 he married Candy Wilson, who preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2005. He was raised in Marshall, where he was a 1973 graduate of Marshall High School and member of First Christian Church. He later graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. He was an insurance agent his entire life and was still a co-owner of Meuschke Insurance Agency in Marshall.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Amber Riddle and her husband, Chad, of Olathe, Kan., and Tina Meuschke of Overland Park; two brothers, John Meuschke of Sarasota, Fla., and Jeffrey Meuschke of Kansas City; one sister, Galen Eades of Ellisville; three grandchildren, Triston, Kahlyn and Aden Riddle; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father and wife, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Nell Meuschke of Slater and John and Ula Windmeier.
