County 911 commission accepts insurance bid, continues discussion with construction consultant

The Saline County 911 Commission accepted an insurance bid and formed a committee to handle discussions with Septagon at their Thursday, Aug. 14, meeting.

The commission accepted an insurance coverage bid from Merlin Aldredge of Meuschke Agency.

The Board accepted the proposal from Aldredge for needs on general liability; public officials/directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, automobile coverage, workers' compensation and a blanket policy covering all board members and the director.

The policies will have a total annual premium of $3,046.

Commission members also decided to make Director Pam Teague the primary contact for Septagon and form a committee including Vice Chairman John Rieves, Jesse Coslet and Corbin Allred to handle communications with Septagon.

The board approved the payment of several bills including Wilson-Toellner, $817.50; Green Printers, $37.49; GeoComm, $10,209; and reimbursement to director for gas, office supplies and stamps, $138.66.
