Clara Louise Davis, 82, of Marshall, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Russ Johnson and Rev. Ken Randolph officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Gill Memorial Baptist Church in Marshall. Born May 13, 1926, in Lamine, she was the daughter of the late Lud Evans and Clara Belle Ballew Evans. On Aug. 2, 1945, in Marshall, she married James J. Davis, who preceded her in death on May 27, 1998. She had lived in Marshall since 1953, moving from Buckner, and was a member of Gill Memorial Baptist Church. She was also a member of Veterans POW.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Ann Tennill of Moberly and Diana Lynn Stark and her husband, Richard, of Marshall; two sons, Jimmie Ray Davis and his wife, Brenda, and Jeffrey Lee Davis and his wife, Doris, all of Marshall; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geneva McBroom of Overland Park, Kan., and Ruby Belle Wyrick of Placentia, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Lillian Becker, Pauline Brown, Margorie Abercrombie and Anna Margaret Nutt, and two brothers, Estil Evans and Albert Evans.
