"I'm going home," said Moore, explaining that she will now be serving the same 4-H program she grew up in.
"I grew up in Chariton County, went to school in Linn County and was in Macon County 4-H," she said, explaining her home was just four miles from Macon County and four miles from Linn County.
She lives near Marceline with her husband, Jerry, and has been making the 60-mile commute to Marshall.
"I hate to leave but that short of a drive will be great," she said, adding the new job will cut her travel miles in half.
Moore said she has enjoyed her time working in Saline County and is taking the job to shorten her commute.
"It's been great. It is a great 4-H program and I've had great people to work for and work with," she said.
Moore said from what she has been told, they are "hoping to have someone in a couple of months" to fill the Saline County position.
Moore's last day in the office will be Wednesday, Aug. 27, and she will be starting in Macon County on Monday, Sept. 1.
Moore has been the 4-H youth specialist in Saline County since February 2007.

Happy Homecoming. Perhaps you can set up a special savings fund for the money you will save by not having to fill up the gas tank so often! Good luck!
