DNR to host informational meeting at Arrow Rock historic site Aug. 15

Thursday, August 14, 2008
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold an informational meeting on Friday, Aug. 15, to discuss issues related to Arrow Rock, Sappington Cemetery and Boone's Lick state historic sites in Saline County.

This informal gathering is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Arrow Rock State Historic Site's visitor center, and the public is invited, according to a news release from DNR.

Representatives from the historic sites will be present to answer questions and provide information on current and future plans for the facilities.

Agenda items will include an update on projects that have been recently completed and projects that are about to be initiated at all three sites.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the department to ensure that the public has input on services provided in state parks and historic sites.

Arrow Rock State Historic Site's visitor center is located just off Highway 41 in Arrow Rock.

People requiring special services or accommodations to attend the meeting can call the site directly at 660-837-3330 or toll free at 800-334-6946 (voice) or 800-379-2419.
