The Board in June voted to nix the sport in lieu of its estimated cost and projected participation level.
However, a meeting last Thursday between new Superintendent Dr. Craig Noah, high school Athletic Director Scott Latham and interested parents, children and citizens offered hope that the Board may reconsider its previous decision.
Noah said he had a candidate for head coach to present to the Board, which would meet in closed session to consider the applicant should it approve reinstatement of the program earlier in the meeting.

Dr. Noah,
You are a breath of fresh air and we appreciate your dedication to our schools and our children. Programs like the swim team are important to the development of well rounded schools. Thank you.
