2 Marshall men charged with drug violations July 11

Friday, July 11, 2008
Two Marshall men -- Ibrahim D. Wazir and Garett Dale Wood -- were charged with drug-related violations Friday afternoon, July 11, in Saline County Circuit Court, according to unofficial online court records.

Wazir, 26, and Wood, 22, were taken into custody by officers of the Marshall Police Department late Thursday evening, July 10, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

The two men were arrested after a search of their residence revealed a quantity of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set for Wazir at $10,000 cash only on a class B felony charge of attempting to possess a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Bond for Wood was set at $2,000 cash only on a class A misdeanor charge of possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana.

Officers from Marshall Police Department, Saline County Sheriff's Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol participated in the arrests.

It's interesting sometimes to open your mind to all the different scenarios that could be going on. I'm just having a little fun, but you never know...

Troy I think you are disillusioned..or paranoid. The law enforcement agencies don't have a goal to get as many people through their doors or in their paperwork. It seems anymore that some people are beating on the law enforcement agencies doors to become members of the repeat customer club.

Society had created part of the problems we face.. but lack of respect for the law, for your common man, your parents, teachers, etc. has started some of these people on the paths they take.

One example..a 20 year old makes prank 911 calls which is wrong. She gets in trouble and people make excuses for her behavior and action. If she gets off by blaming her friend, her parents, a television show, or any other excuse she can think of don't you think that sets a bad precedent of she got away with it once...what else can she try to get away with.

Another example..a 31 year old is consuming alcohol and operates a motorcycle. Alcohol is known to be a central nervous system depressent that inhibits and or slows down motor skills..which could be one of the reasons operating a motor vehicle after consuming so much alcohol could be against the law. He gets into an accident and is cited for driving while intoxicated. But the blame is put on standing water in the road and who knows what other excuses rise to the occasion.

There seems to be an "I or me" mentaility going through some of society until someone is caught doing something wrong...then that shifts to its everyone elses fault but mine. Why is that?

You can buy papers and Philly blunt wraps in every convenience store and the government gladly places and accepts taxes on all of that. The paraphernalia is allowed (probably pushed) by our government while the stuff (weed) remains illegal. The feds know that weed is safe but they use it as a tool to be able to criminalize every American any way that they can. The plan from way back is to make a criminal out of everyone by any means necessary for the primary purpose of disarming the population. The goal of most police departments is to turn as many people that they can in the community through their doors so we can all be criminals, get in a database, and lose any right to have a weapon. Weed is indeed one of the many tools that uncle sam uses to eventually disarm every one of us. That's why papers, pipes, bongs, and all of that stay legal, so people will continue to use weed. Read "Behold a Pale Horse" by William Cooper and you will totally understand...
