NEWBURGH, Ind. -- Marshall junior Andy Crum has been a busy young man this summer.

The Owls' newest offensive lineman, a transfer from Lebanon, has already taken part in three football camps and recently competed in the American Drug Free Powerlifting Federation's National Championships, June 21 at Newburgh, Ind.

Crum (above), 16, totaled 1,107 pounds in the squat press, bench press and deadlift to take first place and break the national record for his age and weight class. Crum qualified for the organization's World Powerlifting Championships, which will also be held in the Evansville, Ind., area on Nov. 22-23.
