Stephanie Lynn Rapp, 15, of Marshall, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at University Hospital & Clinics in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Rev. Jim Downing and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Malta Bend Cemetery in Malta Bend. Memorials may be made to the Stephanie Rapp Memorial Fund in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born Aug. 25, 1992, in Blue Springs, she was the daughter of Jan Malter Crawford of Marshall and G.L. Rapp II and his wife, Tracey, of Sedalia. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of Malta Bend United Methodist Church. She would have started her sophomore year at Marshall High School this fall, where she was a Bird Cage member, orchestra member and was on the volleyball team.

Additional survivors include five sisters, Cassie Rapp, Jodie Rapp and Jenna Rapp, all of Sedalia, Loren Rapp and Taylor Crawford, both of Marshall; one brother, Leyton Crawford of Marshall; paternal grandparents, Gary L. and Ilene Rapp of Sweet Springs; maternal grandparents, Tom and Roseann Malter of Malta Bend; grandmother, Kathy Dove of Green Ridge; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Rapp of Tucson, Ariz.; maternal great-grandmother, Anna "Doogie" Malter of Malta Bend; stepfather, Jeff Crawford of Marshall; and her mother's fiancÚ, Leon Phillips Jr., her brothers and sister from him, Jacob, Isaac and Micaela and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
