Fern E. McCoy, 91, of North Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Marshall Junction, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs, with Rev. James R. West officiating. Born Oct. 29, 1916, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. Schrankler and Myrtle Mae Gunder Schrankler. On Feb. 25, 1937, she married Harry K. McCoy, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 2004. She had lived in North Little Rock since 2003, moving from Marshall Junction, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Herbert McCoy of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; two daughters, Beverly Zambon of Monroe, N.H., and Diana Sorce of North Little Rock; one stepson, Eugene McCoy of Martinez, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a niece.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ervin Schrankler; one sister, Lucille Gadberry; one granddaughter; and a niece.
