Louise Langewisch, 91, of rural Sweet Springs, died Monday, June 9, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs and friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Born Oct. 15, 1916, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. Pittman and Maggie M. Sims Pittman. On Nov. 9, 1935, she married Herbert Langewisch, who preceded her in death on June 21, 1972. She had lived in Saline County her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in rural Sweet Springs and the Cretcher Club.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Edna Vaught; one brother, Harold Pittman; four stepsisters, Esther Charles, Della Schelp, Carrie Flandermeyer and Nora Stockman; and one stepbrother, Harry Langewisch.
