Marna June Hamblen, 70, of Marshall, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at Evergreen Cemetery in DeWitt, with Phillip Soto officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to10 a.m. at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton, prior to the service on Monday. The family suggests contributions be made to Gibson Funeral Home in memory of Mrs. Hamblen. She was born June 28, 1937, in St. Louis, the daughter of Peter Alvin and Edith Bell (Cooper) Rennicks. She attended schools in Galesburg and Canton, Ill. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Marshall.
She is survived by two children, Kenneth Leroy Hutson of Licking and Larie Anne Patton of Marshall; four sisters, Cora Alvina Pittman of the state of Texas, Marilyn Rose Setterdahl of Pueblo, Colo., Dee M. Williams of Aledo, Ill., and Edith Marie Whetstien of Galesburg, Ill.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, two sisters, Arjyra Anne Bradford and Zorina Jane German, and one daughter, Patricia Lynn Hutson, preceded her in death.
