Kathleen Jean Burnside, 81, of Kansas City, formerly of Saline County, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with Fr. Kevin Gormley officiating. Born Nov. 24, 1926, in Shackelford, she was the daughter of the late William J. Castle and Winifred M. Jacoby Castle. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She lived in Saline County most of her life and worked at Marshall Habilitation Center for many years, retiring in 1986.
Survivors include a son, Harold M. Burnside of Gilliam; two brothers, Joe Castle of rural Marshall and William D. Castle of Columbia; two sisters, Sister Eleanor Castle, RSM, of Kansas City and Sara Morris of Prairie Village, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
