Marvin "Rio" Crank, 56, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at his home.
Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at First Christian Church in Sweet Springs. Memorials may be made to family choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born April 13, 1952, in Pekin, Ill., he was the son of the late John Richard Crank and Margie Lorene Reno Crank. He had lived in Sweet Springs most of his life and was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School. He was a truck driver, currently working for Swift Carriers of Marshall Junction. He was a member of First Christian Church of Sweet Springs.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Marshall Holcomb of Ft. Worth, Texas, Kevin Matthew Thompson of Manhattan, Kan., and Kelly Michael Thompson of Maple Hill, Kan.; two grandchildren; two brothers, John Dale "John Boy" Crank of Dunksburg and Charles Richard "Buddy" Crank of Warrensburg; one sister, Catherine Lorene Highley of Emporia, Kan.; several nieces and nephews.
