James E. "Jim" Culver, 65, of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Feb. 2, 1943, in Grand Junction, Colo., he was the son of the late Ralph Culver and Mildred Ruth Blair Culver. He graduated from high school in Denver, Colo. On Jan. 7, 1969, he married Ginger Marie Bloss, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1990 and was in restaurant management and ownership for over 40 years, managing the Marshall Golden Corral from 1990 to 1998. He was a member of Tomahawk Golf League.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Michelle Ess of Marshall and Dawn Singleton and her husband, Jon, of Concordia; three grandchildren, Nicholas Ess and Faith and Carter Singleton; one half-brother, Adrian Culver of Lake Jackson, Texas; one half-sister, Gail Sibert of Mesa, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
