Elizabeth Ruth Wilhite, 87, of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Life Care Center of Carrollton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Kevin Gormley officiating. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall, with visitation following from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born Feb. 4, 1921, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Francis Heilman and Lillian Heilman. On Feb. 12, 1944, in Marshall, she married Roy Carl "R.C." Wilhite Jr., who preceded her in death on April 1, 2000. She had lived in Marshall her entire life and retired after 28 years of service from The Marshall Democrat-News. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Boggs and her husband, Danny, of Marshall; one son-in-law, Neal Dickens of Kingsville; seven grandchildren, Michael Gene Boggs, Kristen Rene้ Dickens, Kami Danielle Durham, Kyle Wayne Boggs, Kenny Joseph Dickens, Robyn Leann Dickens and Megan Michelle Boggs; five great-grandchildren, Gage, Taylor, Keely, Ryker and Myles; one sister, Mary Katherine Cochran of Sweet Springs; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Jean Dickens; four brothers, Robert Heilman, Edward Heilman, Danny Heilman and Gene Heilman; and one sister, Mildred Eddy.
