Last week, gas prices jumped by a dime per gallon. Monday morning, May 12, the ante was upped again, but only by 9 cents this time. Motorists may be wondering when one of the players in the fuel market is going to call so this poker hand can end, although news on oil prices Tuesday, May 13, suggest there may not be much hope in that regard. Oil prices hit a new record high early Tuesday -- nearly $127 per barrel -- on reports that Iran might cut crude production, according to The Associated Press. The national average for gasoline prices rose to $3.73 per gallon, according to AP reports.

Hope no one in the oil bussiness stubs a toe or breaks a nail. Heaven only knows how much that will jump up gas prices.
