Phyllis J. Cook, 87, of Marshall, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church. Born Jan. 21, 1921, in Skidmore, she was the daughter of the late Roy Twaddell and Lura Shell Twaddell. On Dec. 16, 1950, she married Galen K. Cook, who preceded her in death on March 7, 2005. She had lived in Marshall since 1960, moving from Skidmore, and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one daughter, Jan Merritt of Marshall; two sons, Ronald Merritt of Savannah and Dan Cook of Kansas City; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a nephew.
In addition to her parents and husband, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
