Juanita F. Whitney, 73, of Marshall, died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Rev. Kevin Gormley will officiate. Friends may call Thursday at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall.
She was born July 18, 1934, in Kansas City, the daughter of the late William and Florence Manley Bellchambers. On May 24, 1982, in Marshall, she married Warren "Nick" Whitney, who preceded her in death. She was a resident of Marshall for many years and was employed at ConAgra for over 24 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Survivors include two stepsons, Marvin Whitney of Marshall and Gary Whitney of Mora; four stepdaughters, Mary Schiel of Stover, Donna Langley of Fortuna, Lucile Metcalfe of Warsaw and Linda Estes of Stover; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one stepson and two stepdaughters.
