KANSAS CITY -- Ex-Bueker Middle School student Nick Harper compiled a 53-8 record for Team Central Wrestling Park Hill during the recently-completed season.

Harper, the son for Chris and Lynne Harper, formerly of Marshall, won the 115-pound weight class for 12-and-under boys at the Missouri State Championships -- receiving the America Crown Award for winning three of four major tournaments, including the Liberty and West Coast Nationals.

He won the Big Horn Nationals and was second in the Kansas Tournament of Champions, Dixie Nationals and U.S. Junior Olympics.
