2 Nebraska men suffer minor injuries in near-miss with deer on I-70

Thursday, May 8, 2008

Danny L. Kinstler, 21, and Erik J. Reed, 21, both of Bellevue, Neb., escaped with minor injuries early Thursday morning, May 8, in a near-miss accident involving a deer, according to a report from Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Kinstler, driving a 2004 Dodge, was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 when he swerved to avoid the deer. The vehicle skidded off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident and were taken to I-70 Medical Center by Sweet Springs EMS; damage to the vehicle was total.
