Dorothy Clough, 84, of Marshall, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Saline County, with Rev. Barry Baugh officiating. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Smith Chapel United Methodist Church. Born Feb. 29, 1924, in Grand Pass, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Uphaus and Clara Wehmeyer Uphaus. On Jan. 14, 1944, she married Charles Roy "Tuffy" Clough Jr., who preceded her in death April 2, 2005. She had lived in Saline County her entire life, was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and was active in United Methodist Women. She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught at Thorp, Napton, Jester, Blue Lick, Nelson and Blackwater schools.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Taylor and her husband, Tom, of Camp Verde, Ariz., and Charlotte Gaba and her husband, Greg, of Marshall; five grandchildren, Mary Taylor, J.T. Taylor and his wife, Kamala, Jesse Taylor, Greg Gaba Jr. and Jeremy Gaba and his wife, Heather; four great-grandchildren, Madison and Zachary Gaba and Dalton and Fisher Gaba; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carleen Carson.
