The third-ranked Chiefs banged out nine hits in the bottom of the third inning to break a scoreless tie. Santa Fe was helped by a Saints defense which committed six errors for 10 unearned runs during the frame.
Junior Max Capps got it started for the Chiefs with a lead-off double, followed by a hit batter and run-scoring error. Junior Taylor Wesley doubled in a run and senior Logan Wesley brought in another with a grounder.
An error was followed by senior Brandon Schmidt's RBI single. Junior Logan Kirchhoff singled and Capps walked, two runs coming in on junior Ben Catlett's single. Sophomore Hunter Rolf, Taylor Wesley and senior Kenzie Thorp put base hits together, with two more errors and sophomore Matt Lovercamp's single ending the barrage.
St. Paul (7-12) got its lone run in the top of the fourth as sophomore Tyler Mattlin and junior Josh Grass singled.
Capps hit his second double of the game to lead off the Santa Fe fourth, coming in on Rolf's single. Rolf had three hits and drove in three runs, while Capps scored three times.
Kirchhoff allowed only two hits and struck out eight to improve to 7-0 for the Chiefs (12-0), who host Green Ridge in Thursday's regular season finale.
