Ryan G. Armstrong, 17, of Malta Bend, sustained minor injuries in a rollover accident Monday, May 5.

Armstrong was traveling northbound on Highway 65, south of Route N, when he apparently fell asleep at the wheel of his 1995 Mazda.

The vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned before striking a utility pole. Armstrong was wearing a safety device at the time of the incident.

Armstrong was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for treatment; he was issued a summons for careless and imprudent driving.
