According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 1998 Pontiac driven by Sonja R. Lohse, 41, of Grand Pass, was traveling southbound at 8:45 a.m. on Missouri Highway 23, about four miles north of Concordia, when she crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2002 Peterbilt truck driven by Eugene E. Volker, 41, of Humboldt, Neb., according to the report.
Three passengers in Lohse's vehicle received injuries. Elizabeth R. Johnson, 4, and Jenny L. Johnson, 31, both of Grand Pass, received minor injuries. Heather R. Johnson, 6, of Grand Pass, received moderate injuries. Lohse and Volker were not reported with any injuries, according to police. The Johnsons were transported to I-70 Medical Center by ambulance.
All individuals involved in the accident were wearing their safety belts, the report said.
The Pontiac sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene, according to MSHP. The Peterbilt received only minor damage and was driven from the scene.
MSHP said summons issued are pending investigation.
