Saline County 9-1-1 Commission President John Fletcher said Wednesday, April 30, that the commission has selected a site for the 9-1-1 dispatch center, but would not confirm the location of the site, pending a news release later in the day.

The decision was made at a closed-door meeting of the commission Monday, April 28.

Eight sites were considered for the project, including five in and around Marshall (three of which were offered by the City of Marshall), one in Slater, one in Sweet Springs and another at the intersection of Highways 240 and 41, four miles east of Marshall.
