A 45-year-old Marshall man was arrested late Tuesday, April 29, after a woman reported that he had raped her, according to a Saline County Sheriff's Department report.
The man was apparently intoxicated when deputies arrived at the scene in rural Marshall and would not cooperate with their requests, according to the report.
He was taken into custody without incident and is being held in the Saline County Justice Center pending filing of charges, according to the report.
The report was submitted to the county prosecutor's office early Wednesday, according to Sheriff Wally George.

Jim was the type of dog that knew better than to write a story about someone being accused of rape.Knowing he was not going to print the name of the accused. IF YOU CAN'T SAY THE NAME DON'T PRINT A HALF*** STORY!!
what is jim the wonder dog. I see the memorial in marshal but whats the big deal about the dog. What did he do did he read minds or was he a cop dog? Did he have superpowers.
Dont print anything unless you can give a name. Write another story about JIM THE WONDER DOG or something!
wise policy
the lack of name indicates the person makes over 65k a year
JJ Gates knows.......
Our policy is that we do not publish the names of people arrested until they are actually charged with a crime. At least at this point, we have no information that any charges were filed or will be filed. If and when we have that information, we will publish a name.
I agree. It drives me crazy to hear about arrests and to not know who it is. The article should not even be published until there is a person to attach to the crime. I guess there is so little news to report sometimes that even an arrest that might not stick at the prosecutor's office gets printed to fill space. I think names should ALWAYS be published no matter if the charge sticks or not. All arrests are a matter of public record.
Our policy is a compromise. We could wait until there's a conviction before publishing names, but that often takes months, even years.
Arrests are news. When charges are filed, we publish names of people charged.
WHO WHO WHO?????
