Chester F. Jackson, 82, of Waverly, died Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Born July 3, 1925, in Warsaw, he was the son of the late William Jasper Jackson and Grace Mae House Jackson. On Feb. 24, 1944, he married Euna M. Hatfield, who survives of the home. He had lived in Waverly most of his life and was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. He was a member of Waverly Baptist Church, Operating Engineers Local 101 and Waverly Masonic Lodge.
Additional survivors include five children, Laura Lea Agrippino of St. Charles, Willa Hayes of Higginsville, Steve Jackson of Bates City, Debbie Jackson of Melvindale, Mich., and Heidi Lovercamp of Rosharon, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Kathleen Jackson; one son, William Gerald Jackson; five sisters; and six brothers.
