RICHMOND -- The Marshall boys' golf team wasn't a factor Friday at the Richmond Tournament.

The Owls finished 21st out of 22 teams in the field, a drop from their 18th-place performance last year, scoring 378 points.

All three of the Marshall entries who played in the event last year improved their scores on tough Shirkey Golf Course. Senior Cody Dusenberry was a stroke better with a 90, senior Brandon Thiel's 91 was a seven-shot improvement and sophomore Brandon Hall sliced five strokes off his previous tally with a 95. Senior Austin Lamparter carded a 102 to round out the Owls' total.

Marshall is at Liberty Hills Golf Course in Liberty today for the Class 3, District 8 Tournament.
