Elizabeth Stemmons

Elizabeth Louise Robinson Stemmons, 79, of Fayette, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Boone Hospital Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008, at First Baptist Church in Fayette, with Rev. Michael Jackman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Hillsdale, the daughter of Noble and Jessie Mae Robinson. She was a member of the Mount Woodland A.M.E. Church in Hillsdale.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Stemmons of Bartlett, Tenn., and Noble Stemmons of Aurora, Ill.; one brother, Robert Robinson of Hutchinson, Kan.; three sisters, Mary Ann Harris of Kansas City, Effie Williams and Mamie Carter, both of Columbia; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
