Joseph Earl Stockman, 57, of Marshall, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008, at Malta Bend Cemetery, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice. Born May 1, 1950, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Francis Joseph "Squeaky" Stockman and Katie Clyde Stockman, who survives of Malta Bend. He was a 1968 graduate of Malta Bend High School. On Feb. 16, 1974, he married Barbara Mills, who survives of the home. He had lived in Saline County his entire life, where he was employed at Fletcher Grain Company for nearly 35 years. He was a member of Malta Bend United Methodist Church.

Additional survivors include two sons, Christopher M. Stockman and Aaron Stockman, both of Marshall; three daughters, Courtney Brown, Rachel McWhirter and Chelsea Stockman, all of Marshall; seven grandchildren; his twin brother, John Francis Stockman of Malta Bend; one sister, Anna Lee DeAugustine of Auburn, Wash.; and nieces and nephews.
