The Lady Greyhounds cruised to a 15-4, five-inning victory over Windsor during Thursday's game at Alma -- to where the meet has now been moved after rains left the Concordia Park fields a mess.
Six straight walks, followed by a single by senior Kaila Koch and double from sophomore Stacia Nelson which each plated two runs, led to seven Sweet Springs runs in the bottom of the first inning. Freshman Shelby Hayworth stroked a three-run double as the Lady 'Hounds tallied six runs in the second.
Windsor (1-8) had six hits, including run-scoring singles from senior Katie Jo and junior Allison Yates.
Junior Stephanie Krause had a pair of RBI singles for Sweet Springs (5-5), which plays Thursday at Sacred Heart of Sedalia.
