Bobbie Lee McCoy, 84, of Marshall, formerly of Kansas City, passed away Monday, April 21, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, Kansas City. Visitation will precede services from 1 to 2 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will be held in Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
He was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Ridgeway, to Lee and Ethel McCoy. He married Rose Riddle on Sept. 13, 1941. He retired as mill superintendent after 43 years' service at U.S. Gypsum in North Kansas City.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Joan Draeger of St. Louis and Rosa Johnson and her husband, Jim, of Marshall; one son, Larry McCoy of Jefferson City; three brothers, Harry McCoy and his wife, Ida, of Lincoln, Veryl McCoy of Sedalia and Beryl McCoy and his wife, Joann, of Sedalia; three sisters, Anita Loughridge and husband, Lash, of Blue Springs, Helen Porter and her husband, Don, of Polo and Priscilla Yunt of Sedalia; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; his parents; four brothers, Roland McCoy, Lee McCoy Jr., Garland McCoy and Eugene McCoy; one sister, Alice Crater; and one great-grandchild.
