Harriet Smith Leonard, 89, of West Covina, Calif., died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at her home.

She was born July 8, 1918, in Nelson, the daughter of the late Howard A. and Lena Inglish Smith. She was employed at United Telephone Co. in Nelson. On Jan. 26, 1947, she married Dr. Orl Richard Leonard, who survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, four grandchildren and one sister, Mabyl Hanley of Marshall Junction.

In addition to her parents, a brother and two sisters preceded her in death.
