According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as a 2007 Chrysler, driven by Christopher E. Audsley, 27, was traveling northbound on Missouri Highway 5, three miles west of Salisbury, at about 1:40 a.m. when he drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a utility pole and an embankment.
The vehicle became airborne and came to rest on its wheels in a field.
Audsley received moderate injuries and was transported to Moberly Regional Hospital by ambulance. He was wearing a safety belt, police said.
The Chrysler received extensive damage and was towed from the scene of the accident.
