Norma Ann Bryan Anglen, 77, of Marshall, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Fitzgibbon Cancer Center. Born March 18, 1931, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Baskin Bryan and Bessie Louise Duvall Bryan. On Jan. 28, 1949, she married Seth Wallace Ward. On Aug. 25, 1978, she married Jesse Dean Anglen, who preceded her in death on April 19, 1998. She had lived in Marshall her entire life and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Marshall. She retired in April of 1993 from Marshall Habilitation Center after 25 years of service.
Survivors include one son, Gordon Wallace Ward and his wife, Carol, of Lakeside, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Lois Jean Huff and her husband, Randal, of Marshall; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Dale L. Bryan and his wife, Shirley, of Chilhowee; her stepmother, Lillian Bryan of Marshall; one stepsister, Martha Sue Jasper and her husband, Richard, of Marshall; several nieces and nephews, including a niece and nephew she raised, Judy Williams of Springfield and Robbie Stroemer of Granite City, Ill.; and her best friends, Marsha Mullins and Ginny Richards of Marshall.
In addition to her parents and second husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty George, and one stepdaughter, Dorothy Shoemaker.
