Donald Joe Hardwick Sr., 49, of Carrollton, died Friday, March 28, 2008, in Branson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at Lindley Funeral Home in Hale. Visitation was held Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at the funeral home. In addition to the funeral, family and friends are welcome to come to Wheeler's old bar, 210 N. Mason St., Carrollton, for lunch at about noon after the funeral. Burial will be held at a later date in Waverly Cemetery in Waverly. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donald Joe Hardwick Sr. memorial fun in care of Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. He was born Oct. 27, 1958, in Carrollton, the son of Jewell Gene and Jane Ellen (Standley) Hardwick. On March 3, 1989, he married Tina Marie Hardwick in Richmond; she survives of the home. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and camping. He loved his CB and was know as "Biker."
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Billy Joe Snider; six sons, Willie Joe Marques of Marshall, Donald Joe Hardwick Jr. of the U.S. Marine Corps, Jeremy Ray Hardwick of Bogard, Martin Lee Sample of Marshall, Brian Michael Sample of Carrollton and Bradley Eugene Sample of Carrollton; five brothers, Darrell Gene Hardwick and his wife, Charolette, of Carrollton, Ronnie Dale Hardwick of Marshall, Randy Ray Hardwick and his wife, Michelle, of Marshall, Gale Lee Hardwick of Marshall and William Hamilton Hostetter of Marshall; one sister, Anita Lynn Hardwick of Marshall; three grandchildren, Trevor Joe and Leo Marques of Excelsior Springs and Chloe RaLynn Arbagast of Independence; several cousins nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Standley.
