The senior from Marshall finished 15th out of 50 entries in the University 200-meter dash (26.48 seconds), following that up by coming in 20th in a field of 35 in the higher-level Open 100 (13.10).
A week earlier, Leimkuehler had taken third in the 200 (27.41) and third in the 100 (12.99) at the Baker Relays. She's still seeking a NAIA Outdoor Championships qualifying time.
Also at the Baker meet, senior Natalie Reische of Brunswick won the hammer throw (126 feet, 6 inches) and was second in the shot put (35-1.25) and discus (117-4).
The best showing for the Vikings at Mizzou was on the men's side, where freshman William Coleman placed seventh in the discus with a throw of 130 feet. Junior Adam Willis was 13th out of 38 in the 800-meter run (2:00.83), while senior Anthony Flores arrived 17th out of crowd of 67 runners in the 5,000 (15:16.77).
At Baker, freshmen LaQuinto Thompson (52.03) and John Castillo (53.14) were 1-2 in the 400, Flores won the 1,500 (4:09.18) and the 3,200 meter relay (8:27.18) team came in first. The Vikings have yet to have a qualifier for nationals.
Valley is due to take part in the Central Methodist Invitational, Saturday at Fayette.
