Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to a one-car accident at about 6:24 p.m. on Interstate 70 Sunday, March 30, which left a Blue Springs woman with minor injuries.

Jamie D. Link, 20, was traveling eastbound on I-70, 2.5 miles west of Route YY, in her 2008 Toyota when she was attempting to overtake a vehicle and then observed another vehicle in the path and overcorrected, according to the report.

The Toyota ran off the right side of roadway, became airborne, traveled down an embankment, struck a ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top, police said.

Link was transported to I-70 Medical Center by ambulance. She was wearing her safety belt, according to police.

The Toyota was declared totaled. According to the highway patrol, no summons was issued.
