Michael Dean Fizer, 29, of Sweet Springs, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008, at St. John United Church of Christ in Emma. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs and memorials may be made to the Michael Fizer Memorial Fund in care of First Community Bank of Sweet Springs. Born Nov. 24, 1978, in Sweet Springs, he was the son of the late Martin Ray Fizer and Wanda Jean Meyer Cox, who survives of Sweet Springs. He was a 1998 graduate of Sweet Springs High School and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Emma. On Nov. 23, 2002, he married Kimberly Martin, who survives of the home. He was a member of Sweet Springs Volunteer Fire Department and had previously worked at Galloway Construction.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by five children, Kevin, Derick, Levi, Keagan and Makayla, all of the home; two sisters, Crystal Hoyes and Rachel Fizer, both of Sweet Springs; stepfather, Buddy Cox of Sweet Springs; paternal grandfather; maternal grandmother; maternal great-grandmother; and nieces and nephews.
