The toughest singles contest was up top, where freshman Michael Draper -- son of veteran coach Randy Draper -- lost a 10-8 decision to junior Mac Evans, one of three Owls who are still battling for the No. 1 spot.
Seniors Max Bildstein and Taylor Scarff and sophomores John Van and Ethan Murphy won by 10-2 margins, while senior Ross Crawford had a tougher match at No. 5 before winning, 10-5.
The doubles teams of Evans-Scarff and Bildstein-Murphy notched 10-7 wins, while Van and Crawford cruised past the Eagles (3-1) by a 10-1 count.
Marshall (3-0) will meet its third MRVC opponent Thursday when it travels to Boonville.
